Alpha Futures Direct 50K: Complete Account & Payout Rules

The Alpha Futures Direct 50K is a direct futures trading account designed for traders who want to skip the traditional evaluation process and start trading as a Qualified trader immediately.

Unlike Alpha Futures' Standard, Zero, and Advanced evaluation plans, the Direct plan does not require traders to hit an evaluation profit target before becoming qualified.

Instead, traders purchase the Direct 50K account and begin trading immediately under the Qualified Account rules.

The main objective is to build enough profit to satisfy the account's withdrawal profit target, while remaining above the Maximum Loss Limit and following the 20% consistency requirement.

The Direct 50K also has no scaling plan, allowing traders to use the full position limit from the beginning.

Alpha Futures Direct 50K: Key Specifications

These figures are based on Alpha Futures' currently published Direct Qualified rules.

How the Alpha Futures Direct 50K Works

The biggest difference between Direct and a traditional evaluation is simple:

There is no evaluation.

When purchasing the Direct 50K, the trader starts with a Qualified account rather than an evaluation account.

There is therefore:

  • No evaluation profit target
  • No minimum evaluation trading days
  • No evaluation consistency requirement
  • No evaluation reset process

Instead, the trader immediately operates under the Qualified Direct rules.

The account has a nominal starting balance of:

$50,000

The account's Maximum Loss Limit is:

$2,000

This means the initial MLL is based on a starting floor of:

$48,000

Alpha Futures uses an end-of-day trailing Maximum Loss Limit, rather than an intraday trailing drawdown.

Alpha Futures Direct 50K Maximum Loss Limit

The Direct 50K has a:

$2,000 Maximum Loss Limit

The MLL trails based on the account's end-of-day balance high.

This is important because it does not simply follow every intraday equity high.

For example:

Starting balance: $50,000 Initial MLL: $48,000

If the trader finishes a trading day at:

$50,500

the MLL moves up by the same amount and becomes:

$48,500

If the trader subsequently loses $500 and reaches $50,000, the MLL remains at $48,500.

The MLL does not move back down simply because the account loses money.

Once the MLL reaches the original starting balance of $50,000, it stops trailing.

So if the account eventually reaches an end-of-day balance of $52,000, the MLL will have reached:

$50,000

At that point, the drawdown becomes effectively locked at the original starting balance.

What Happens If You Hit the Maximum Loss Limit?

The MLL is a hard breach.

If the account's floating equity or closed balance reaches the Maximum Loss Limit, the account is liquidated.

For a Direct Qualified account, hitting the MLL means the account is breached and closed. ([Alpha Futures Help Center][2])

For the 50K Direct account, traders therefore need to protect the $2,000 drawdown rather than treating the nominal $50,000 account size as their actual risk capital.

Alpha Futures Direct 50K Daily Loss Guard

The Direct 50K also has a:

$1,000 Daily Loss Guard

The Daily Loss Guard is different from the Maximum Loss Limit.

The MLL determines the overall account breach level, while the Daily Loss Guard is designed to prevent the trader from continuing to trade after reaching the daily loss threshold.

The Daily Loss Guard can account for both realized and unrealized P&L.

If the threshold is reached, positions can be liquidated and trading is restricted until the next trading day. Alpha Futures describes this as a soft breach, meaning the account itself is not permanently lost simply because the daily guard is triggered.

For the Direct 50K:

Daily Loss Guard = $1,000

This gives the account two separate risk boundaries:

Daily Loss Guard: $1,000 Maximum Loss Limit: $2,000

These should not be confused with each other.

Direct 50K Maximum Position Size

The maximum position size for the Direct 50K is:

4 Minis or 40 Micros

This means a trader can trade up to:

4 standard futures contracts

or

40 micro contracts

depending on the instrument.

There is also:

No Scaling Plan

Unlike certain Alpha Futures Qualified accounts, the Direct plan does not gradually increase position size based on account profits.

The full position limit is available from the beginning.

This makes position sizing relatively straightforward.

Alpha Futures Direct 50K 20% Consistency Rule

The Direct 50K has a:

20% Consistency Rule

This rule applies when requesting withdrawals.

The trader's largest profitable trading day cannot represent 20% or more of the total net profit accumulated since the previous withdrawal request.

The calculation is:

Largest Winning Day ÷ Total Net Profit = Consistency Percentage

The trader must remain below the 20% threshold before becoming eligible to request a payout.

Example

Suppose a trader has generated:

$5,000 total net profit

Their largest winning day is:

$900

The calculation would be:

$900 ÷ $5,000 = 18%

The trader would satisfy the 20% consistency requirement.

But if the trader had made:

$1,100 on their largest day

then:

$1,100 ÷ $5,000 = 22%

The trader would not yet satisfy the consistency requirement.

Importantly, exceeding the 20% consistency level does not automatically breach the account.

Instead, the trader needs to continue generating profits until the ratio falls below the required level.

Alpha Futures Direct 50K Withdrawal Rules

The Direct 50K does not use a traditional winning-day requirement.

Instead, it uses a:

Withdrawal Profit Target

For the first withdrawal, the trader must generate:

$3,000 in profit

Once the first withdrawal is completed, the profit target changes.

For every subsequent withdrawal, the trader must generate:

$2,000 in new profit

The profit target resets after every withdrawal.

Previous-cycle profits do not carry forward toward the next withdrawal target.

First Withdrawal

The first Direct 50K withdrawal requires:

$3,000 in profit

For example:

Starting account:

$50,000

Required first withdrawal profit:

+$3,000

Account balance:

$53,000

The trader must also satisfy the 20% consistency requirement before the withdrawal request becomes available.

The maximum withdrawal request is:

$2,000

The minimum withdrawal request is:

$500

Second and Subsequent Withdrawals

After the first withdrawal, the withdrawal profit target decreases to:

$2,000

This target applies to the second and subsequent withdrawal cycles.

For example, after completing the first withdrawal, the trader starts a new profit cycle.

The trader then needs:

+$2,000 in new profit

before becoming eligible for another withdrawal.

The previous cycle's profit does not count toward the new target.

Alpha Futures Direct 50K Payout Cap

The Direct 50K has a maximum withdrawal of:

$2,000 per request

The minimum withdrawal request is:

$500

Therefore, a trader cannot simply withdraw an unlimited amount of the account's accumulated profit in a single request.

The withdrawal must also satisfy the applicable profit target and 20% consistency rule.

Alpha Futures Direct 50K Profit Split

The Direct 50K uses a:

90% Profit Split

The trader receives:

90% of eligible performance fees

Alpha Futures retains the remaining 10%.

The 90% split applies to Direct Qualified accounts. ([Alpha Futures Help Center][1])

For example, if a trader receives an approved $2,000 performance-fee withdrawal:

Trader's 90% share: $1,800

Alpha Futures' 10% share: $200

The actual withdrawal remains subject to the account's withdrawal rules and applicable limits.

Direct 50K Withdrawal Example

Consider a trader who purchases a Direct 50K account.

The trader starts with:

$50,000

The first withdrawal target is:

+$3,000

The trader builds the account to:

$53,000

Assuming the trader satisfies the 20% consistency requirement, they can request a withdrawal.

The maximum withdrawal request is:

$2,000

After the withdrawal, the account retains the remaining balance according to the platform's payout mechanics.

The next withdrawal cycle requires another:

$2,000 of fresh profit

before another payout request can be made.

The previous cycle's profit does not count toward the new target.

Does Direct 50K Have an Evaluation?

No.

This is one of the defining characteristics of the Alpha Futures Direct plan.

The trader pays the one-time account fee and begins with a Qualified account.

The current listed price for the Direct 50K is:

$519

Alpha Futures launched the Direct Qualified product with 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K account sizes.

The launch announcement also listed a temporary 35% promotional discount using the code DIRECT35, although promotional pricing can change, so traders should verify the current checkout price before purchasing.

Is There an Activation Fee?

The Direct plan is structured differently from an evaluation that charges an activation fee after passing.

There is no separate evaluation-to-funded activation step, because the trader starts directly as a Qualified trader.

The account is purchased through the one-time Direct account fee.

For the 50K Direct account, that listed price is:

$519

News Trading Rules

The Direct 50K is subject to Alpha Futures' restrictions around major economic events.

This is different from some Alpha Futures evaluation products that may have fewer or no news restrictions.

The current Direct account overview lists:

News Trading: Restrictions on Major Events

Traders should therefore check Alpha Futures' current major-event/news policy before trading around events such as major economic releases.

Overnight and Weekend Trading

The Direct account is a futures trading account, and traders should follow Alpha Futures' current platform and market-session requirements for positions held outside normal trading sessions.

Because trading-session and event restrictions can change, traders should verify the current Direct account rules before holding positions overnight or through a weekend.

How Many Direct 50K Accounts Can You Have?

Alpha Futures currently states that traders can run:

Up to 5 accounts per size tier

For the Direct program, this means traders can have up to five Direct accounts of the same account size, subject to Alpha Futures' account and trading rules.

Final Thoughts on the Alpha Futures Direct 50K

The Alpha Futures Direct 50K is structured around immediate access to a Qualified account rather than the traditional evaluation model.

The trader pays the one-time account fee and immediately trades under the Qualified rules.

The most important numbers to understand are:

$2,000 Maximum Loss Limit

This is the primary account-breach threshold.

$1,000 Daily Loss Guard

This limits how much daily loss can accumulate before trading is restricted.

$3,000 First Withdrawal Target

This is the profit requirement for the first payout.

$2,000 Subsequent Withdrawal Target

After the first payout, each new cycle requires $2,000 in fresh profit.

20% Consistency Rule

The largest profitable day must remain below 20% of the net profit accumulated during the current payout cycle.

$2,000 Maximum Withdrawal

This is the maximum amount that can be requested per withdrawal on the Direct 50K.

90% Profit Split

Eligible performance fees are split 90/10 in favor of the trader.

Overall, the Direct 50K is not an evaluation account with a traditional pass/fail profit target. The main challenge is instead managing the $2,000 MLL, staying within the $1,000 Daily Loss Guard, satisfying the 20% consistency rule, and generating the required profit for each withdrawal cycle. ([Alpha Futures Help Center][5])

Important: Alpha Futures describes these accounts as simulated trading accounts using real market quotes. The rules and promotional pricing can change, so the firm's current official terms should be checked before purchase.
