Options Funding Express 25K: Complete Evaluation & Funded Account Rules
The Options Funding Express 25K is a one-step options trading evaluation designed for traders who want access to funded trading without a traditional multi-phase evaluation.
The Express plan has a straightforward objective: reach the required profit target while staying above the trailing drawdown limit. There is no time limit and no minimum number of trading days, meaning a trader can technically pass the evaluation in a single trading day if the target is reached without violating the account's risk rules.
Unlike the Growth plan, Express is specifically designed around buying options rather than multi-leg or short-option strategies.

How the Express 25K Evaluation Works
The Express 25K evaluation starts with a nominal account size of $25,000.
To pass, the trader must generate:
$2,500 in profit
That represents a 10% profit target.
There is no fixed deadline for reaching the target. There is also no minimum number of trading days.
For example, if a trader starts at $25,000 and reaches $27,500 while respecting the trailing drawdown throughout the evaluation, the profit target has been reached.
No Minimum Trading Days
Options Funding does not require a trader to trade for a certain number of days during the evaluation.
A trader can pass in one day if the profit target is reached without violating the risk rules.
There is also no maximum number of days. A trader can take as long as necessary because the evaluation has no time limit.
Express 25K Trailing Drawdown
The maximum trailing drawdown is:
$1,250
The Express plan uses an intraday trailing drawdown.
The drawdown floor follows the account's highest equity in real time.
This is an important distinction from an end-of-day trailing model.
The floor can move higher during the trading session as the account reaches new equity highs. If the account's equity touches the drawdown floor, the evaluation is closed.
Starting Example
The initial account is:
Starting balance: $25,000
The initial drawdown allowance is:
$1,250
Therefore, the initial drawdown floor is:
$23,750
If the account's highest equity rises, the trailing floor rises with it.
For example, if equity reaches $26,000, the trailing floor can move upward based on the account's new peak.
Because the Express drawdown is intraday, traders need to manage open-position risk carefully rather than relying only on the end-of-day account balance.
What Happens When You Reach the Profit Target?
Once the evaluation reaches the required $2,500 profit target, the evaluation can be passed provided the account has remained compliant with the rules.
The next stage is the Funded Account.
Before the Funded Account becomes active, Options Funding charges a:
$129 Activation Fee
The activation fee is the same across the Express account sizes.
Importantly, the $129 fee is fully refunded with the trader's first payout.
The fee must be paid before the Funded Account becomes active.
Express 25K Funded Account
Once funded, the account begins with a new trailing-drawdown calculation.
The funded account's drawdown is reset when the funded account is activated.
For Express 25K:
- Trailing drawdown: $1,250
- Drawdown mode: Intraday
- Lock balance: $25,000
Once the account reaches its lock balance, the drawdown stops trailing and becomes static.
If the Funded Account subsequently breaches its drawdown, that Funded Account is permanently closed.
Unlike an evaluation account, a breached Funded Account cannot be reset or restored. The trader would need to start another evaluation to trade again.
Express 25K Profit Split
The Express 25K Funded Account uses an:
80/20 Profit Split
The trader keeps 80% of eligible profits, while Options Funding retains 20%.
However, the amount that can actually be withdrawn during each payout cycle is subject to the payout rules and caps.
The withdrawal rate is currently:
Up to 50% of profits
Therefore, the 80/20 split should not be interpreted as meaning that a trader can automatically withdraw the entire 80% share whenever they want.
Payout eligibility and the payout cap still apply.
Express 25K Payout Caps
The payout caps increase through the first four payouts.
1st payout -> $1,000 , 2nd payout -> $1,000 , 3rd payout -> $1,500 , 4th payout -> $2,500 ,
The minimum payout for the Express 25K is:
$500
Each payout is also subject to the rule allowing withdrawal of up to 50% of profits.
8 Qualifying Winning Days
One of the most important funded-stage requirements is the qualifying-day system.
Before requesting a payout, an Express 25K trader needs:
8 qualifying winning days
A qualifying day for the 25K account requires at least:
$100 in realized profit
The profit must be realized. Unrealized gains on open positions do not count toward the qualifying-day requirement.
The eight days:
- Do not need to be consecutive.
- Can occur over any number of weeks.
- Can be separated by losing days.
- Can be separated by days when the trader does not trade.
- Reset after a payout is paid.
Example
Suppose a trader has:
- Day 1: +$125 → qualifying day
- Day 2: +$80 → not qualifying
- Day 3: +$150 → qualifying
- Day 4: -$50 → not qualifying
- Day 5: +$110 → qualifying
The qualifying-day counter would be 3/8.
The trader needs five additional qualifying days before becoming eligible for that payout.
Payout Cycle Reset
After a payout is paid, the qualifying-day counter resets.
The trader then needs another eight qualifying days for the next payout.
Options Funding states that the new cycle is measured from the time the payout request is submitted, meaning qualifying days during the review period can count toward the next cycle.
Payout Balance Rule
After receiving the first payout, there is an additional balance progression rule.
At the time of a subsequent payout request, the account
